One More From the Conservatory

March 29th, 2008

And I’m gonna show you the before and after. Excited? I am. Before: After: I added a texture layer then blurred it because it was too harsh. I also added a warming layer, a color pop, vignette, and rendered a lens flare (because it was pretty and picked up the colors of the orchids) :0)

Flickr Meetup

March 28th, 2008

Today I met up with my new flickr friend, ImaJenation (Jennifer White) and her gorgeous family. Everyone of her children were so photogenic! (and they sat still long enough to get a good shot) I had so much fun! Here are a few pictures from today.

Happy Easter!

March 24th, 2008

My blog posts will be very short for the next few weeks because I have half a keyboard due to a 17 month boy-terrorist. I’m impatiently awaiting my replacement keyboard’s delivery. Here are a few shots from this weekend. My neices: Me: (photo taken by my sister, edited by me)

**I’ve always been interested in Photography. I had my mothers vintage 35mm camera {the one she bought to use in school :) } when I was in highschool. If you read below you’ll see that once I get started with something I love, I can’t stop. So I somehow acquired a few dark room and developing tools on my way. We lost our housein my high school days due to the Flood of ’97 and along with the house went the 35mm. Since then I have tried to take what I affectionately call “Artsy” type photos with an old Point and Shoot. (needless to say I wasn’t exactly sucessfully artsy with my old Kodak) In August of ’07 I obtained my first Dslr (Nikon D40x) and since then I’ve gotten back on my feet with photography!**

The weather in Cincinnati

March 10th, 2008

Last week the weather in Cincinnati was gorgeous and early spring like. But this weekend we were covered in over a foot of snow. Yuck. This is the first time I let Tanner play in the snow! He enjoyed it long enough to realize that snow is YUMMY.
