Guess what today is? My Birthday. I decided to take a stab at making Bakerella’s Cupcake Bites. Here’s a little something about me: When I see something that I want to try, I do it. Thats how I started in photography and how I found the PERFECT Barbecue Ribs recipe. Normally when I try something I succeed. I hate to fail. However, I have come to the conclusion that I am HORRIBLE at dessert baking and decorating.
I wanted to be the mom on the block to bake the awesome cakes and treats for school, and holiday parties. I first realized that I was a failure at cake decorating when I “set out” to make fondant from scratch. Oh I succeeded in making fondant from scratch, but when it came time to put it on a cake, I FAILED… I failed miserably! The cake was not pretty. ***UPDATE*** I have pictures of the cake from my first ever Fondant Cake Expedition.
Anyway, back to my cupcake bites. I baked the sheet cakes last night (Funfetti!) and melted the chocolate today and set out to dip them and make them cute and pretty. The results: I have no patience, and they are crappy looking
