In 2011, I started a new job, began taking classes for my MBA and became pregnant with our daughter. With all of this going on, I took a much needed break for the majority of 2011. In my 3rd trimester, I started taking on photoshoots again and I am so happy with how they turned out. I cannot wait to fill 2012 up with more great photo sessions.

Its been 3 weeks since Cora joined our family. I am feeling great this time around. We celebrated Christmas today, as a family tradition, we always celebrate on Christmas Eve. I had a great time with my family and the boys REALLY enjoyed opening all their gifts. I’m feeling so good in fact that I cannot wait to get back to scheduling photo shoots. I’ll be doing some snow-time photo sessions as soon as the weather permits.

My little boy is turning 5 next week. I got the chance to shoot some goofy photos of him last night (with my new camera). So excited to finally be shooting full frame.

Here are some of my favorite Tanner memories of 2011:

When Tanner found out that we were having a baby he started to carry around a baby doll to practice taking care of her. The doll is actually one that was played with by my younger sister when we were kids!

Tanner told us that he had a “zombie baby” growing in his belly. His zombie baby is red and is there because he was “eating a lot”.

Last week I came home to find Tanner sitting in time out. When I asked him how long he had been sitting there, his response was, “I don’t know like two weeks or sumpin’.”

This year Tanner started to ask about Jesus. He was very curious about where Jesus lives and what he does and why he is important. We decided to put him in a christian based daycare so he could get a good foundation for understanding his relationship with God. When I asked him what he had learned from his grandma about Jesus, he said, “Connie says Jesus lives in the sky and when you are sad he makes your heart feel better.” – I could have cried. So cute!

I wanted to celebrate hitting the third trimester by taking a few photos of myself. I have been wanting to do some relaxed, natural light portraits (my favorite!), but to do that involves doing my hair, changing my clothes and putting makeup on. Plus setting up the tripod and camera… All of that is a lot when you are pregnant, with a 4 year old running around and a masters degree waiting to be completed. But I managed! I’m very happy with how they turned out. Next, Steve and I need to get some together and around 8.5 months, I’d like to actually hire a photographer to do my portraits! 

I day-dream of my little girl ever day!!! We’ve decided (for the time being) to name her Eva Lilith. I cannot wait for her to get here. For now, enjoy these photos;

I haven’t shared any personal news or family photos recently. I began my MBA program a few months ago and have been SO busy! Here are a few updates about us.

1. I’m pregnant!!!! After more than a year and a half trying, we decided to take a break and voila! we ended up pregnant. Stop by later today and I’ll have an update on whether we are team pink or team blue! I am due December 2nd. Which means it will not interfere with wedding season.

2. We took a quick little trip to Cumberland falls. I’m a horrible photographer and only had 1/4 of a battery, so there are very few photos. Here are the ones I was able to take;
